I love those kinds of weekends, even when its not a holiday. Somehow, getting together with family is just the best time of all!Can I assume that the corn being shucked was the same corn that was later boiled? If so, how oh how did your "shuckers" get rid of all the cornsilk???? Your photo of the cooked corn does not show even one stubborn hairy thing still clinging to the ear. How is this possible? Even corn that I buy at the store never seems fully "shucked" and ones I do myself look like they should be in a "before" picture!!
