I do no less than 40 loads of laundry a week. Seriously...if it was anymore I would have said so. It's crazy! I don't know where all these clothes come from! Today I noticed the imbalance in the work load around here. If you will notice who has the biggest pile of clothes....is it me?? I'm the one doing all the laundry but I'm dirtying the least about of clothing. Interesting....Now this could mean I'm not very clean or this could mean I take care of my clothing and don't get it dirty every time I turn around like some people.
Another interesting thing is MY pile of clothes has 2 t-shirts and 2 1/2 pairs of socks. What happened to the missing socks? I think the other piles of clothing ate them!
Not sure when it happened but my little girl turned 6!She wanted a bowling party. Nine 6 year olds with bowling balls...need I say more? But I would do it all over again for this look of pure joy on her face.
These are MY new socks. I finally knitted socks for ME. Did I tell you they are MY socks?? Well, they are MY socks and they are fabulous and I love them! These are the same socks I talked about here and here and have been working on forever. They seemed to keep getting put on the back burner cause I would end up knitting for someone else. I was worried I wouldn't get them knit before it warmed up but there was really no need to worry cause it doesn't seem to want to warm up! Snow this past weekend...arg!! Anyway, I knitted MY socks to wear with these shoes and I bought these shoes at the bargain store for $3 to wear with MY socks. Guess what? The socks make my shoes too tight!
My kids LOVE their Great Uncle Mike...but then, seriously, who doesn't? Everytime they see him they get all excited and start screaming his name. Both kids wanted Uncle Mike to take them fishing. The man actually took off work early to go fishing with them! Then again....now that I think about it.... maybe he isn't such a saint. What guy wouldn't take off work to go fishing?Sissy sat and held the pole long enough for this photo-op and then she was off running.
Bubby on the other hand fished almost the whole time.
He was actually able to reel in two fish (with a little extra help). He was so proud!
He wasn't real sure about it once the fish came out of the water. He touched it once and then said, "Throw it back!"
Check out my beautiful new bag Meagan made me!! I sent her to this blog and said I want a purse. She used the pattern from artsycraftybabe and viola! I have a purse. You can't see very well but there are even pleats! It's just too cute!!
If you visit St. Louis with kids then you HAVE to take them to the zoo. The St. Louis zoo is so fabulous! I know some of you do this all the time but we packed up four (4!) children and headed to the zoo. Look how spacious that mini van was! Almost makes me want one...almost....Hannah riding in Simon style! The trees and flowers were all blooming and so pretty. When we arrived at the zoo it was a little windy and cool but by noon we were all sweating and wishing we had dressed cooler. Especially me...I never seem to pack the right clothes and I was dressed way too warm all week.
I think Bubby was a little over-whelmed by all the animals and people. Sissy on the other hand is getting an attitude and thinks funny faces are the way to go. After the zoo we went to one of my favorite restaurants, Macaroni Grill. The kids loved their free ice cream.
I recently packed up the kids and headed south for Spring Break and a birthday party. I ate icing and cake till I couldn't eat any more. Note to self: Arriving the night before birthday party insures you get all the crumbs and leftover icing when someone is making the cake. The cake was so yummy and turned out to be the perfect topsy turvy cake!We had beautiful warm spring weather and flowers....unlike where I live and it's always snowing. Sissy found the perfect little friend. Just old enough to play with but still too young to talk and express her opinion. My children were introduced to the world of Wii and Guitar Hero. This one thinks drums are in her future....we'll see.....
