The Great Debate

We are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Lincoln-Douglas debate here. Saturday I was part of a stroller brigade with MOPS. We duct taped bubble machines to the strollers and handed out cards advertising our local MOPS chapter. The bubbles were a HUGE hit I think. Everyone loved them...young and old.

It took a lot to get us there though...haha! A lot of duct tape and tie down straps.
We had strollers, wagons, tricycles, scooters and walkers. All along the streets people were wearing outfits from 1858. It was very interesting to see.
Some of the kids were even able to have their pictures taken with Mr. Lincoln and Mr. Douglas.
